Episodes 330 Arabic العـَاديات Translation The Courser Verses 11 About Surah Al-Adiyat 100 Al-Adiyat This is a Makki Surah, and draws its name from the kind of horses that have been mentioned and sworn by in the beginning. When the Qur’an began to be revealed to the Prophet ﷺ, the situation in Arabia was much chaos, as looting and plundering by tribes were common. Illustrating such a situation that was prevalent helped to attract the attention of the listeners to what Allaah SWT wanted them to know. Man is ungrateful for the blessings of Allaah SWT, and he himself is well aware of that. He loves his wealth greatly. On the Day of Resurrection, everyone will be resurrected from their graves, and the secrets of everyone will lay bare for judgment before Allaah SWT.

’ By the galloping, panting horses, — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran By the racers, panting,1 — Saheeh International striking sparks of fire ˹with their hoofs˺, — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran And the producers of sparks [when] striking1 — Saheeh International launching raids at dawn, — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran And the chargers at dawn,1 — Saheeh International stirring up ˹clouds of˺ dust, — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, — Saheeh International and penetrating into the heart of enemy lines! — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran Arriving thereby in the center1 collectively, — Saheeh International Surely humankind is ungrateful to their Lord— — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. — Saheeh International and they certainly attest to this— — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran And indeed, he is to that a — Saheeh International and they are truly extreme in their love of ˹worldly˺ gains. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. — Saheeh International Do they not know that when the contents of the graves will be spilled out, — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered — Saheeh International and the secrets of the hearts will be laid bare— — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran And that within the breasts is obtained,1 — Saheeh International surely their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] — Saheeh International
AboutSurah Al-Adiyat: Surah Al-Adiyat (Arabic text: العاديات) is the 100th chapter of the Qur'an. The surah titled in English means "The Coursers" and it consists of 11 verses. ..
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبۡحٗا Wal’aadi yaati dabha Sahih InternationalBy the racers, panting, فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِ قَدۡحٗا Fal moori yaati qadha Sahih InternationalAnd the producers of sparks [when] striking فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبۡحٗا Fal mugheeraati subha Sahih InternationalAnd the chargers at dawn, فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعٗا Fa atharna bihee naq’a Sahih InternationalStirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا Fawa satna bihee jam’a Sahih InternationalArriving thereby in the center collectively, إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٞ Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood Sahih InternationalIndeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞ Wa innahu alaa zaalika la shaheed Sahih InternationalAnd indeed, he is to that a witness. وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌ Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed Sahih InternationalAnd indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. ۞أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ Afala ya’lamu iza b’uthira ma filquboor Sahih InternationalBut does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ Wa hussila maa fis sudoor Sahih InternationalAnd that within the breasts is obtained, إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ Inna rabbahum bihim yauma izin lakhabeer Sahih InternationalIndeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.
